  • Through individual therapy, we will work together to identify your concerns and provide the resources and support you need to overcome your struggles.

The goal of individual therapy is to help you:

    • develop coping skills to help manage stress and anxiety

    • improve your communication skills with your partner, family, and new baby

    • treat emotional and physical symptoms

  • Usually offered along side individual therapy, partner support can help moms and their partners learn how to communicate, cope, and heal as they work through the challenges of postpartum, and parenting, and mental health.

  • Experiencing the loss of a pregnancy or an infant brings unimaginable pain. Counseling during this challenging time gives you the space to express your feelings and find ways to heal.

    PAIL counseling can help you:

    • Identify and implement coping skills

    • Reduce feelings of isolation

    • Improve communication with partner, loved ones, and medical professionals

    • Reconnect with yourself and loved ones

  • I offer an alternative therapy called Brainspotting (Phase 1 & 2 and expansion). This form of therapy can help with anxiety, PTSD, depression, and more.

Brainspotting works by utilizing the theory that trauma can get stuck in the body. It uses the power of brain-body connection to help you reprocess the negative emotions related to the trauma by using spots in your visual field.

Brainspotting helps with birth trauma and the PMADS (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders) period.

  • EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

Taking care of you & your mental health is not selfish. A healthy mom is an amazing gift to a child.
